3-D Communities: Part One

Jesus lived His life in three dimensions of relationships. (See Luke 6:12-19 for a snapshot)

UP in intimacy with His Father.

IN with his followers.

OUT toward those who had not yet encountered His love.

As followers of Jesus, surprise surprise, we are to imitate Jesus in living our lives in these 3Dimensions.

UP in intimacy with our Father where we are deeply imprinted with the life of Jesus.

IN with other followers where we are bonded in community.

OUT toward a broken, bruised, battered humanity ravaged by the waves of sin that crash from our lives and into our lives.

Over these next three posts, we will be explaining and introducing again the 3-Dimensional Communities that you can plug into at the Bridge.

The first post will be about our 3C2 initiative (Three’s Company 2 Groups).  We will have a list of available groups for you to plug into.

The second post will be about our Missional Clusters which are our mid-size communitites built around a specific mission.

The Scriptures paint a number of pictures of how we are to “STAND OUT” in “3-D” fashion.  Here is one to grab your heart today:

Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world (Phillipians 2:14-15)
