Acts 7:1-15 - This week, guest speaker Caleb Kaczmarek shares the importance of reading the Word of God. He also asks if we read it with a certain bias based on a tradition, doctrine or teaching rather than letting the Word of God speak for itself. Join us as he encourages us to take the challenge from the previous week of reading Exodus 33. Below are guidelines he shared to help

5 day reading plan:

  • Day 1 — What’s happening & who’s involved?

  • God, Moses, Aaron, The Israelite People, The Surrounding Nations, Egypt?

  • What’s their typology?

  • Day 2 — What are the connections?

  • (Gen. 6:5), (1 Sam. 8 | 1 Sam. 15:11–35), (Num. 23:19)

  • (Eze.18:30), (Jer. 7:1-10), (Jonah 3), (Exodus 32 & 33)

  • (Rom. 8:34) Christ’s intercession.

  • Day 3 — What’s the lesson for the original audience?

  • What were God’s Promises to His People?

  • What is the context we’ve seen from the verses above?

  • Day 4 — What’s the lesson for me?

  • Is the lesson the same for me?

  • Are there differences?

  • Day 5 — What am I going to do about it?

  • So What?

  • How do I live differently in light of this?
