Lent Challenge

During the 40 days of Lent, let’s put the four pillars of The Bridge Bible Church into action – Prayer, Relationship, Worship, and Mission. Download the guide and follow the promptings outlined for each day.

In addition to the daily challenge, there is a weekly missional element we want to achieve as a church below:

Week 1 - Letters to Missionaries

The first week of lent, we will focus on sending letters of encouragement to those who have been sent out to serve internationally. Current international organizations and missionaries we partner with include Tutapona, Wycliffe Bible Translators, and Will and Katie in Birmingham. UK and Jody Carrell in Edinburgh, Scotland. Addressed envelopes and paper will be available in the welcome area. More information about our international missions is available.

Week 2- Somerset Police Dept & Village Staff Meal

Monday, February 26th, we will be providing and serving a meal to our neighbors at the Somerset Police Department and Village Hall. Items to be dropped off on the 25th at the church. To be a part of this meal, please signup below.

Week 3- Somerset Fire Dept Meal

On Monday, March 4th, we will provide and serve a meal to our neighbors at the Somerset Fire Department. More information will follow on the details of this meal, but you can sign up below.

Week 4 - Grace Place Donations

Throughout this week, we will be collecting donations for Grace Place. Please have items dropped off at the Church by March 10th. Grace Place Donation items needed:

  • computer paper

  • paper towels

  • Fabulosa household cleaner

  • pens

  • toilet paper

  • shampoo

  • conditioner

  • body wash

  • soap 

  • toothpaste

  • toothbrushes

  • deodorant

  • garbage bags - 55 gallon

Week 5 - Somerset SChools Staff

Throughout this week, we will be collecting grab n’ go snacks for the staff at Somerset Schools. Please have any items you want to provide for the staff to snack on by the Church on March 17th.

Week 6- Somerset FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS

This week we are collecting donations for the Somerset Community Food Pantry. Please have items to donate at the Church by March 24th. They currently list these as the most needed items:

  • canned chicken

  • mayo

  • tomato sauce

  • chunky soups

  • salad dressing

  • instant potatoes

  • antibacterial wipes

  • kleenex
